Date of assessment: 20 January 2025 to 24 February 2025. We completed site visits on 20 January 2025 and 22 January 2025. Claremont Nursing Home is a nursing home providing accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care and treatment of disease, disorder or injury. The service is registered for 52 people, at the time of our assessment, there were 30 people living at the service and 1 hospital admission. The service was last inspected in January 2023 and rated inadequate. We identified breaches of regulations relating to safe care and treatment, safeguarding, staffing and good governance. This assessment was conducted to follow up on their action plan. Whilst we saw some improvements, not enough improvements have been made and they were still in breach of regulation for good governance There had been a high turnover of management since our last inspection, therefore, this meant some systems and processes had not been consistently implemented. The current manager was new to that role and had not registered with the CQC at the time of the inspection. We found that people’s care plans were not always person-centre and consistent. People did not always receive their prescribed medicines due to medicines not being obtained a timely manner. However, people felt safe living at Claremont nursing home. They spoke highly of the staff. Staff were recruited safely. Staff understood safeguarding procedures and their role within this.
