Accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care

Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

The Registered Provider must not admit any service users to the location, Roxburgh House, without the prior written agreement of the Care Quality Commission. This includes any respite admissions of service users, service users who are discharged from hospital to the service or any readmissions of service users who have been resident at the home at any time and who may be seeking to return.

By 22 March 2021 the Registered Provider must ensure that robust risk assessments and care plans are in place at Roxburgh House in relation to diabetes, epilepsy, catheter care and choking risks. By 22 March at 16:00pm the registered provider must send a copy of the updated risk assessments and care plans to CQC.

The Registered Provider must ensure that health and safety systems and processes are put in place to protect service users from the risks of scalding from uncovered radiators and access to restricted areas such as boiler rooms. By 22 March at 16:00pm the registered provider must send a copy of the action plan to address the scalding concerns and any associated updated risk assessments to CQC.

The Registered Provider must ensure that health and safety systems and processes are put in place to protect service users from the risks of harm due to inadequate management of fire safety. By 22 March at 16:00pm the registered provider must send a copy of the action plan to address the fire safety concerns and any associated updated risk assessments to CQC.

The Registered Provider must ensure that health and safety systems and processes are put in place to protect service users from the risks of harm from access to dangerous equipment and chemicals. By 22 March at 16:00pm the registered provider must send a copy of the action plan to address the hazardous materials concerns and any associated updated risk assessments to CQC.

Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

The Registered Provider must only accommodate a maximum of 22 service users at Roxburgh House.

The Registered Provider must not provide nursing care under accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care at Roxburgh House.
