Inspection carried out on 19 September 2014

During an inspection to make sure that the improvements required had been made

On our inspection of 18 January 2013 we found that the provider had not ensured that staff received appropriate professional development. We also found the provider did not have a system in place to regularly assess and monitor the quality of the service provided to patients.

The provider wrote to us on 8 March 2014. We were informed that all staff would be required to provide recruitment and training documentation and a system would be developed for monitoring the quality of the service.

During this inspection we reviewed the progress the provider had made to ensure staff received appropriate development, appraisal and supervision. We looked at improvements to the system for monitoring and assessing the quality of the service.

Information on staff professional development and appraisal had been updated and a process had been put in place to monitor this. Although the provider had introduced systems to monitor the quality of the service, some policies and procedures had not been updated to reflect that the provider was no longer registered with the General Medical Council (GMC).
