During an assessment of Surgery

Enhance Medical is operated by Curis Healthcare Limited. The clinic is a private cosmetic surgery location which opened in December 2021. The service provided operations such as breast augmentation, wound care, liposuction, and hair transplants. Enhance Medical Care is based in Shirley, Solihull. The service had 2 registered managers, 1 that oversaw the daily operational and management of the service and 1 who oversaw the clinical operations of the service. There was also a nominated individual in post. We looked at 10 patient records, spoke with 3 patients, and 15 members of staff. We observed 2 episodes of patient care. We looked at 4 staff files. The assessment included 2 CQC inspectors. We carried out this focused assessment due some information of concern. We carried out a 1 day announced visit on Tuesday 26 November 2024. We assessed 15 quality statements across safe, effective and well-led. We have combined the score for these areas with the previous scores from our inspection in January 2023 to give the overall inspection rating. Our rating of the service remained the same as Good. The service had processes in place to continuously learn, drive improvement and look for innovation on how to improve the service patients received. Staff were informed about and understood the risks relating to people using the service. There was an effective approach to assessing and managing the risk of infection, which was in line with current relevant national guidance and standards. The service had a vision for what it wanted to achieve and a strategy to turn it into action. Staff and leaders shared the same vision for the service which included providing clinical excellence and patient care.

During an assessment of the hospital overall

Enhance Medical is operated by Curis Healthcare Limited. The clinic is a private cosmetic surgery location which opened in December 2021. The service provided operations such as breast augmentation, wound care, liposuction, and hair transplants. Enhance Medical Care is based in Shirley, Solihull. We carried out this focused assessment due some information of concern. As this assessment was based on risk, we only completed quality statements which were connected to the areas of concerns and therefore we did not complete enough quality statements to re-rate all of the key lines of enquiry or service overall. We assessed 15 quality statements across safe, effective and well-led. We have combined the score for these areas with the previous scores from our inspection in January 2023 to give the overall inspection rating. Our rating of the service remained the same as Good.
