Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

Within 14 days of this condition taking effect, the Registered Provider must review and take action to ensure:
a) Care plans and risk assessments provide sufficient guidance to staff to manage and minimise risks associated with, but not limited to, skin damage, absconsion from the home, risk of falls and catheter care.
b) Medication administration records accurately reflect medications administered and any discrepancies are investigated and reviewed for action.
c) Accidents and incidents are recorded, reviewed, investigated and, where appropriate, reported to external agencies, and such records are reviewed to consider any lesson learnt.
d) Environmental risk assessments provide sufficient guidance to staff to manage and minimise risks associated with, but not limited to, risks associated with the condition of the premises, fire safety, cleanliness of the home and infection control practices within the home.
e) Service users are able to request staff support in a timely way and staff practice reflects care in a dignified and respectful manner.

Within 28 days of this condition taking effect, the Registered Provider must implement an effective monthly audit and monitoring system to action matters outlined in condition 1. A monthly report is to be submitted to the Commission on the first Monday of each month thereafter detailing actions of audits completed and areas of risk identified, action taken to mitigate these risks including timescales for improvements, who will be responsible for them and what the monitoring arrangements will be going forward.

Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

The Registered Provider must only accommodate a maximum of 34 service users at Cordelia Court.

The Registered Provider must not provide nursing care under accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care at Cordelia Court.
