Our current view of the service

Good

Updated 2 January 2026

Meadow View is a nursing home which provides care for up to 20 people aged 18 and over, in 3 connected bungalows. At the time of our inspection there were 18 people living at Meadow View, with a primary diagnosis of a learning disability.

We have assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted.

We found that staff and leaders were caring and responsive to the needs of people. They knew people well and and offered a range of stimulating activities. Care plans were easy to read and gave a clear oversight of the needs of people. The care home was a safe, calm environment and effective systems were in place to monitor quality and safety. Medication was managed safely and effectively. Leaders knew people and staff well and were approachable and responsive.

People's experience of the service

Updated 2 January 2026

We observed positive interactions between people and staff. When people were unable to communicate their wishes and feelings verbally, staff used a variety of communication techniques and adapted their approach to meet the needs of each individual. One person told us, “It’s nice” when we asked them if they liked living at the service.
