Prema Court
We have taken enforcement action and imposed conditions on Deepdene Care Limited registration at Prema Court, from the 2 June 2026. These conditions restrict the number of people who can live at the location and require the provider to produce a written report each month, setting out any actions taken or proposed at Prema Court in respect of addressing environmental shortfalls.

Our view of the service
Date of Assessment: 22 April to 3 June 2026. Prema Court is registered to provide accommodation and support for up to 44 people living with mental health illness. At the time of our assessment, there were 3 people being funded to live at the service. None of the people were in receipt of a regulated activity.
The service was last assessed between March and May 2025. Six breaches of regulation were identified; the service was rated inadequate and placed in special measures. This assessment was carried out to review what improvements had been made to address the breaches in regulation.
The provider was not providing a regulated activity, therefore the scope of this assessment was limited, as we were unable to reflect people’s experiences. This meant we were unable to rerate the quality statements and amend our previous ratings. The service has been placed in dormancy until such time a regulated activity is being provided.
A new manager had been appointed in February 2026, an application to register had been submitted to CQC. They were being supported by an external management team. An action plan was in place identifying the areas of improvement required. We found improvements were being made through audits, updated policies, and increased staff and service user involvement. There had been no new concerns, incidents, or complaints.
Staff reported effective communication, good support, and confidence in management. A programme of training was in place, although no new recruitment had occurred due to reduced occupancy.
Environmental upgrades were being completed in current living areas. Previous enforcement action by GMFRS had been closed. However, further work would be required if occupancy increased. Regular maintenance and safety checks of the premises and equipment were ongoing.
Following the 2025 assessment, CQC made the decision to take civil enforcement action against the provider. This matter has now been concluded. Conditions have been added to the providers registration.
