Inspection carried out on 2 February 2012

During an inspection looking at part of the service

We did not receive any feedback from people during our visit. We observed people choosing how to spend their time and interacting with staff. We observed them helping around the home and being supported to make drinks and snacks. We saw that people were happy and relaxed.

Inspection carried out on 15 August 2011

During a routine inspection

People living in the home were not all able to tell us verbally about their views of the home. We used Makaton sign language to ask open questions to some people. We spent time observing people and their interactions with staff.

A person indicated they were happy living in the home. One person informed us they liked to help with the shopping. A person indicated that they were supported to go out with staff. They liked to go swimming and to the pub.

People indicated that staff were "ok".
