During a routine inspection

Patients told us they appreciated being able to attend for dialysis close to their home. Patients commented on the friendliness of the registered nurses. One patient told us they 'make you feel at home'. Patients told us staff knew how to look after them. One patient described the registered nurses as 'very good'. Patients also told us staff looked after them effectively if they became unwell and promptly called in emergency medical assistance if needed. One patient told us 'I feel safe here'.

Registered nurses told us the provider supported them by their induction, training and supervision programmes. Registered nurses said they worked well with each other. One registered nurse said 'we got a good team here'. Another registered nurse told us ' I personally really like working here'.

We observed registered nurses ensured they followed infection control guidelines when caring for patients and the unit was very clean. There were also clear systems for maintenance of the equipment used.
