During a routine inspection
People told us they liked living at the home. One person said, 'It's very good here.' Another person said, 'I'm quite happy here.' One person spoke of the benefit they derived from being able to talk to the staff and other people in the home.
People said they were treated well by the staff, although one person said one staff member did not always respond when requests were made.
People said they were looked after well. One person said, 'They look after me well.' Another person said the support they received from their designated keyworker was good. People said they were aware they had a care plan and that these had details of their care needs.
People confirmed they had access to a call point in their rooms so they could ask for assistance. Staff were said to have responded when people used it. People also said there were enough staff on duty.
People confirmed they were asked their views about the service provided by the home and that they were able to attend meetings to discuss subjects such as the food and activities.
We found a lack of privacy on a bathroom door. Care plans did not always detail how people were to be supported. Personal records were not securely stored. We referred fire safety matters to the fire service where we found these were not sufficient.
