Overview

Inspection carried out on 7 February 2014

During a routine inspection

When we visited 24 people were receiving personal care. We spoke with six people who used the service, four relatives, the manager and three staff who supported them. We also spoke with a health professional who was visiting one person who received personal care.

People and their relatives were happy with the support being delivered and told us that they usually had the same care staff who arrived when they expected them to. One person told us, “The carers are really good, never a cross word from any of them, they are first class.”

We found that people were protected and safe from abuse. Staff recruitment records showed that new staff had been checked to make sure they were suitable to work with vulnerable people.

The provider was able to protect people from unsafe care and treatment by regularly assessing and monitoring the quality of the service provided.

At the time of our inspection the provider did not have a registered manager in post.
