During a routine inspection
People told us the food on offer to them was "good" and that "I have no complaints about it". We were told there was always a choice of meals. We could see that people living there felt comfortable with the staff helping them. There was a lot of good natured chatting and banter going on in the home between staff and the people who lived there.
We found that there were appropriate arrangements in place to manage and administer medicines safely. We saw that people's needs were being assessed and planned for and people and/or their relatives were included in planning their care to help make sure their needs were met as they needed and wanted. We could see from records and what people said that the manager worked in co-operation with others agencies and health care professionals. This helped make sure people received coordinated care if they needed other services. We saw that the records maintained by the service were of a good standard and well organised
Some minor aspects of maintenance and decoration in the home needed attention but the home was clean, warm and comfortable. The home had a range of suitable and well maintained equipment for people to use.
