During a routine inspection

People told us that independence and individuality were promoted within the home. People who lived there were supported and enabled to do things for themselves. They were encouraged to express their views and to participate in making decisions relating to their care and treatment.

We spoke with the two people who were present in the home during the inspection. One person told us that they 'liked living here'. Another told us "I do lots of things like dancing and going to church'. We saw that people were involved with their care and the running of the home as far as they were able.

We looked at a range of records, spoke with the manager, and a visiting professional. We saw the communal areas of the home and reviewed the arrangements for medication.
