The practice had reviewed their governance system that included policies and procedures, to ensure these were accessible to staff and were reviewed on a regular basis.

Improvements had been made to the processes in place for identifying and managing risks effectively.

Staff had the skills, knowledge and experience to carry out their roles, but action was needed to ensure the clinicians took into account the guidance provided by the College of General Dentistry when completing dental care records and kept up to date with current evidence-based practice.

Staff had carried out a disability access audit and had an action plan to continually improve access for patients. We found identified actions had been completed.
