We observed arrangements were in place to enable the needs and wishes of people using the service to be promoted. One person told us they were going to a local football match with support from a member of staff and attended college to follow their interests.

People living in the home said staff supported them to meet their needs and helped them to keep safe.

We observed staff supporting people to make active choices about their lives and consulting them about their needs and wishes.

We observed staff involving people in making decisions and consulting them about their wishes and feelings.

People using the service told us they were 'Comfortable' and 'Get on with staff' and would talk to the person in charge 'If they had any issues'. People using the service confirmed staff supported them with obtaining medical assistance when they needed it. One person told us that staff 'Certainly look after me'; whilst another said they wanted to give staff 'Two stars' for getting some medical ointment they needed.

People using the service said staff were 'Alright' and were aware of how to make a complaint if they had any concerns.

Staff told us they were kept 'Very busy' and we observed this resulted in them not being around a lot of the time to actively engage and interact with people living in the home. People using the service told us that staff were 'Good' and helped them in making decisions where needed.
