During a routine inspection
They told us they had lived at the home for a long time.
Staff were respectful when talking to people and from our observations were very familiar with people's routines, likes and dislikes.
People said staff looked after them very well. They said they knew the staff well as they'd been working in the home for several years.
Staff told us they had access to training and had attended courses. We noted in the training record maintained by the manager, that some staff had not attended update training for manual handling, first aid, food handling and managing challenging behaviour since 2008/9. The record was colour coded to indicate out of date training would be attended in 2012, however, the providers training plan did not have any confirmed training dates identified for 2012.
