During an assessment under our new approach
Date of assessment 26 May 2026 to 9 July 2026.
Cohen Care Ltd is a homecare service providing personal care to people living in their own homes. CQC only inspects where people receive personal care. This is help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. This is the first inspection of the service. Therefore, we assessed all quality statements across the safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led key questions.
We found care plans and risk assessments were person centred and included information for staff on how to support people. Staff understood people’s risks, what was important to them and supported them safely with their wishes. Staff were recruited safely. The provider completed practice observations and staff supervisions to support the delivery of safe and person-centred care.
The provider worked with families to review people’s care to ensure it continued to meet their needs.
We have assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. We found people were supported in accordance with this guidance.
