Our current view of the service

Good

Updated 3 December 2024

Gilead Complete Care Group Limited is a domiciliary care service providing personal care to people who live in their own home. Not everyone who used the service received personal care. CQC only inspects where people receive regulated activity personal care. This is to help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. At the time of the inspection there was one person receiving personal care.

We expect health and social care providers to guarantee people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices and independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. Right support, right care, right culture is the statutory guidance which supports CQC to make assessments and judgements about services providing support to people with a learning disability and/or autistic people.

At the time of the inspection, the location did not care or support for anyone with a learning disability or an autistic person. However, we assessed the care provision under Right Support, Right Care, Right Culture, as it is registered as a specialist service for this population group.

This was a planned assessment of all quality statements under the key questions of safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led. This service registered with us on 15 November 2023, and this was their first assessment. The service has been rated good following this assessment.

Inspection activity started on 21 January 2025 and ended on 24 January 2025. We carried out the site visit on 23 January 2025. We gave the service 24 hours’ notice of the inspection. This was because we wanted to make sure someone would be available to support us with the inspection.

People's experience of the service

Updated 3 December 2024

The service was able to fully demonstrate how they were meeting the underpinning principles of Right support, Right care and Right culture.

Right Support: Staff understood people and their individual needs well. Staff provided kind, caring, person-centred care and support. People were supported by appropriate numbers of staff on each shift to ensure people's safety and meet their needs.

Right Care: Staff understood how to protect people from poor care and abuse. Staff had received training on how to recognise and report abuse and they knew how to apply it. People's care, treatment and support plans reflected their range of needs and staff knew people's needs well.

Right Culture: Staff turnover was very low, which supported people to receive consistent care from staff who knew them well. Staff told us they enjoyed their job and making a positive difference to someone's life. People were supported by staff who had received appropriate training and support. Quality monitoring systems allowed for the effective monitoring of the service by the provider.
