During an assessment under our new approach
Date of Assessment: 22 April 2025 to 20 May 2025. The service is a residential care home registered to provide accommodation and personal care to older people, younger adults and those living with physical disabilities, mental health, sensory impairments and dementia. This is the first assessment for this newly registered service.The provider had systems to deliver safe care to the people they supported. Risks were assessed and planned for, this included environmental risks and considering infection prevention and control procedures. There were enough safely recruited staff to support people safely and they had received training and were supported in their role. Staff worked with other agencies to support people and understood how to safeguard people from abuse. Staff administered medicines as prescribed. Assessments and care plans were in place and the staff followed the principles of the Mental Capacity Act. Staff worked flexibly to support people and helped to maintain their health and wellbeing. Staff supported people to make choices and decisions about their care and remain as independent as possible. People received person-centred care and when things went wrong, the provider had systems in place to learn from. There were systems in place to monitor the quality of the care people received and drive improvements.
