The provider assessed people’s care needs to ensure these could be met by staff prior to people being supported with care, however we found some risk assessments were not robust in relation to people’s complex care needs. Some care plans did not have information about people’s protected characteristics. However, people and their relatives told us they felt well supported, and they were happy with the care and support they received. People and their relatives told us they were involved in the development and reviews of their care plans. They felt confident in being able to raise concerns with the provider if required.

People felt the staff treated them with respect kindness and maintained their dignity when providing support.

The service had enough staff employed to keep people safe. Pre-employment checks were completed. Staff completed an induction at the beginning of their employment and received ongoing support through training and supervision.

The provider assessed people’s care needs to ensure these could be met by the staff. Staff felt supported by the management team. The provider had a quality assurance process to monitor the quality of aspects of the service.
