Our current view of the service

Good

Updated 12 February 2026

Date of Assessment: 16 – 25 February 2026. The service is a care at home service. It provides personal care to people living in their own homes. This is the first assessment for this newly registered service. Therefore, we assessed all quality statements across the safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led key questions. As a result of our assessment, we rated the service good.

The provider had a good learning culture and people could raise concerns. People were protected and kept safe. Some areas of risk management needed improving although people were supported safely. Medicines were administered as prescribed; however, improvement was needed with the recording of ‘as required’ medicines.

People were happy with staffing arrangements and staff knew people well. Staff had received a variety of training although some staff had gaps in their knowledge about some aspects of their role. Staff worked with all agencies involved in people’s care for the best outcomes and smooth transitions when moving services

The care and support provided by the service has led to positive outcomes for people. Staff treated people with kindness and compassion. People received person-centred care and were given choices and control over how they wished to live their life. People received fair and equal care and treatment.

The registered manager carried out regular checks with people and staff and undertook governance checks to help them monitor people’s support needs and well-being. Systems were in place to oversee and monitor incidents and people’s care needs. Further development was needed to the provider’s monitoring systems to ensure they were sustainable if the service expanded. Where improvement was needed, the registered manager acted promptly to make the necessary improvements.
