Care records contained enough information to show how people were to be supported and cared for. They provided clear direction for staff about people's needs and wishes.

We spoke with three people using the service. They were complimentary about the staff and the care and support provided. Comments made included; 'I am well looked after, everything is fine' and 'There are no issues, the staff know what they are doing and they are very nice'.

We saw that appropriate arrangements were in place to help safeguard people from abuse. One of the people using the service that we spoke with told us, "I trust them completely, I feel safe with them always'.

Arrangements were in place to ensure that people using the service were cared for by staff that were safely recruited, properly trained, supported and supervised.

The systems in place to monitor the service provided helped to protect people against the risks of inappropriate or unsafe care.

The care plans contained sufficient information to show how people were to be looked after and also showed that people gave consent to the care and support provided. The two people using the service that we spoke with told us, 'They do what I ask them to do and I feel very safe with them' and 'They look after me well and I have a laugh and a chat with them, a lovely service'.

The medication management system was safe. This helps protect people's safety, health and well being.

People needs were met by a sufficient number of suitably trained staff.

An effective complaints procedure was in place. People knew how to make a complaint and were confident that their concerns would be listened to and acted upon.
