During a routine inspection

Douglas Staff Centre Limited provides support workers to various care organisations. We spoke with the care managers of these organisations to gather feedback regarding the services provided by the agency. All the feedback that we received was positive and the clients were very happy with the support provided by the agency. One care manager said, "they are very reliable." Another manager said, "I would use them as the preferred care agency for providing care for people with severe learning disabilities." One manager we received feedback from said, "the staff have had suitable skills and experience and overall (the agency) offers a good service."

We found that client organisations using the service received sutable information and the staff provided safe and effective care to people. The agency undertook appropriate recruitment checks before employing staff and regularly assessed and monitored the quality of service that people receive. Care records and other documents were mostly up to date and stored securely.

During a routine inspection

The client we spoke with told us that they were happy and satisfied with the care and support provided to their people by the agency's staff. They said they found the staff to be appropriately qualified and suitably trained.
