All Inspections

14 May 2013

During a routine inspection

We found at this inspection that two people were currently living at this service.

We visited the house and met one of the people receiving support and talked with two staff and the General Manager. One of the people receiving support said he 'liked living there' and said that he was happy for us to see his support planning documents and daily reports.

We visited the company's head office and looked at some staff recruitment files, and complaints records.

We found that people were being supported in managing activities of daily living such as hygiene care, finances, food shopping and preparation, upkeep of the premises to maintain their cleanliness, medication and raising concerns.

We saw that the premises were visibly clean and that staff supported people with daily and weekly cleaning programmes.

We found that medication was stored and managed appropriately with staff support.

We saw that people were supported in raising any concerns, and these were taken seriously and dealt with promptly and appropriately.

We talked with three health professionals who were indirectly involved with the service, and they spoke positively about the support given to people who were placed in this service.

7 June 2012

During a routine inspection

The visit was carried out by one Inspector over two hours, and included spending time at the Head Office and time at the supported living house.

We (i.e. CQC) met and talked with two of the people who were living in the house. They both spoke positively about their experiences of living there.

One person said 'I like living here. I have been bowling this morning, and doing some gardening. Last night I went dancing which I like.'

The other person said 'I like it here.'

We met one relative who was visiting, and they said that they thought the home was 'very good' and they were 'pleased with it.'

17 March 2011

During a routine inspection

We met all four people using the service. Some had verbal communication, and some did not.

People said that they liked the house, and they liked living in this area. They were happy living there, and liked their individual bedrooms.

One person was able to talk about their daily experiences, and to show us their support plan folder.

Another person was unable to communicate verbally, but smiled and raised their thumb as a sign that they were happy living in this supported living environment.
