Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
The registered provider must not admit or re-admit any service user to Nelson House, 1-3 Nelson Road, Dudley, West Midlands, DY1 2AG without the prior written agreement of the Care Quality Commission.
The registered provider must ensure environmental hazards relating to mould, furniture, wardrobes, window restrictors and the broken partition have been assessed and addressed. You must submit evidence to the Commission by 9am 05 May 2026.
The registered provider must provide the Commission with a copy of an audit regarding the management of medicines, setting out action taken (or to be taken) as a result of the audit. The audit must include, but is not limited to: secure and appropriate storage, safe management of topical creams and accurate person-centred medicine administration records. You must submit the audit to the Commission by 9am 05 May 2026.
The Registered Provider must submit to the Commission a copy of a written record of training undertaken by staff working at Nelson House in Fire safety and post-training competency checks. You must submit evidence to the Commission by 9am 05 May 2026.
The Registered Provider must provide the Commission with a report detailing the steps it has taken to ensure sufficient staffing levels are in place in accordance with service user needs by 05 May 2026. From 05 May 2026 and every Tuesday thereafter, the Registered Provider must provide a staffing dependency tool and weekly rota to the Commission. This must cover seven days a week and detail both staffing levels and management cover.
The Registered Provider must within 7 seven days provide the Commission with a copy of an audit regarding environmental standards and safety risks; medicines management; staffing levels; fire safety and management arrangements which it has undertaken, setting out any action taken (or to be taken as a result of the audit. The Registered Provider must provide the CQC with any further reports regarding subsequent audits setting out action taken (or to be taken) on the second Friday of each month.
Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
The Registered Provider must not provide nursing care under accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care at Nelson House.
The Registered Provider must only accommodate a maximum of 21 service users at Nelson House.
