CQC register Holly Tree Lodge to carry out the following legally regulated services here:

Accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care

  • Mrs Simangele Samantha Mason is the registered manager for these services at this location.
Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

1.2. The registered provider must with immediate effect of this Notice coming into place devise and implement effective systems at Holly Tree Lodge to ensure all care practices, processes and systems adhere to the principles of the Registering the Right Support policy.

1.3. This includes:

i. Ensuring people are treated with dignity and respect by providing care and an environment that is personalised, safe and enables people to achieve goals and aspirations. ii. Ensuring people are safe from harm and abuse by implementing robust systems that record steps taken to identify and manage risks whilst at the same time promoting positive risk taking across a range of environments and settings. iii. Ensuring people have choice and control over all aspects of their lives in line with the Mental Capacity Act. Records should show steps taken to assess and support people to understand the options and risks when making decisions which should include a multi-agency approach and access to advocacy

1.7. On the first Monday of every month following this Notice coming into place, you must provide the Commission with a report detailing your analysis and conclusions from your quality monitoring checks at Holly Tree Lodge. This must include:

i. How you are meeting the principles of Registering the Right Support.

ii. How the risk and incidence of any potential safeguarding issues, accidents and incidents at Holly Tree Lodge are properly identified and managed.

iii. How you are ensuring recruitment processes are safe and ensure suitable people employed.

iv. A record of training undertaken by all staff working at Holly Tree Lodge in relation to person centred care, Understanding the Principles of Registering the Right Support, Safeguarding Adults, Infection Prevention and Control, Food and Nutrition, Recording and Reporting, Epilepsy awareness, The Mental Capacity Act, DoLS and Safe Management of Medicines to include name of staff member, date of training, nature of training, name of

Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

The Registered Provider must only accommodate a maximum of 14 service users at Holly Tree Lodge.

The Registered Provider must not provide nursing care under accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care at Holly Tree Lodge.

1.4. The registered provider must undertake a full review at Holly Tree Lodge of all quality monitoring systems in relation to managing people’s care, risks, medicines, infection prevention and control and health conditions within two weeks of this Notice coming into place.

1.5. Additionally, the registered provider must undertake a full review of all quality monitoring systems in relation to a safe and suitable environment, recruitment processes, management of incidents and complaints and staff suitability including training and development within two weeks of this Notice coming into place.

1.6. The registered provider must use these systems to determine the current shortfalls and ensure they are now effective in identifying and addressing any risks or areas of concern in the service you provide.
