Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

The registered person must instruct a suitably qualified nurse or pharmacist, to undertake a full audit of medicines management systems and processes at Regent Hotel and amend processes to ensure they reflect best practice. A copy of the subsequent audit report must be sent to CQC alongside an action plan showing how you as the provider intend to address any identified concerns. This audit must be completed by 10th February 2023 and the report and action plan forwarded to the Commission within 7 days of you receiving the report of that audit.

By 17 February 2023 the registered person must complete an audit of all service user care records, identifying any service user at risk of harm from falls, skin breakdown and weight loss. A copy of this audit and any associated action plan to drive improvements to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations must be sent to the Commission by 24th February 2023.

The registered person must ensure that all staff who have responsibility for administering medicines at Regent Hotel, have completed comprehensive training in ‘The safe administration of medicines’ after which their competency, including their practical competency, must be checked by an appropriately qualified person. This training must be completed by 24th February 2023.

Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

The Registered Provider must only accommodate a maximum of 29 service users at Regent Hotel.

The Registered Provider must not provide nursing care under accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care at Regent Hotel.
