During a routine inspection
Medical Prescription Services used online medical screening and prescription generating processes to prescribe medication to patients who accessed this service over the internet.
During our visit the nurse demonstrated how the online process worked and we saw examples of customer records. Staff did not have any face to face contact with people who used the service, because people provided their information online. This meant that we were not able to observe staff's interaction with people who used the service.
We telephoned two people who had used the online medical screening and prescription generating service, after our visit.
People who used the service were complimentary about it. One person told us that the service was, 'Straightforward.' Another person told us that it was, 'Very easy to use.'
