During a routine inspection

We spoke with people living in the home and some of their relatives, they told us they were very satisfied about the way the staff team provided care and support. They told us that the staff were very kind and caring and felt confident that they were well trained. One person said, "I think all the training the staff receive helps them to do a good job. We always see staff attending training."

During our visit we found all areas of the home to be clean and tidy and procedures were in place to ensure that good hygiene standards were maintained.

There were good systems in place to obtain feedback from people living in the home and their relatives. This showed that the manager was keen to develop the service based on the views of the people using it.

People we spoke with were confident in raising any concerns to the staff and manager. There were good systems in place to monitor complaints and records showed that all complaints were taken seriously and address appropriately.

During a routine inspection

Due to the nature of the service provided at Hatton Grange, not all people living there were able to express their views and opinions.

Of the people we did speak to, they expressed satisfaction about the services they received. We spoke to visitors and they told us that the people living in the home seemed to be well looked after.
