During a routine inspection

As Abbeygate Community Care provides care to people in their own homes, we contacted people by telephone to ask them their views about the service.

We spoke with two people who received the service. They both told us they were satisfied with the care they had received. One person told us, 'The carers are wonderful. I can't say anything other than that.'

Another person told us, 'I get help from three of the care workers. They are all splendid.'

We saw an email from a relative who had said, 'Once again a big thank you to the care staff, they are doing a wonderful job of keeping mum happy and well looked after.'

During an inspection in response to concerns

We carried out this responsive review because we had concerns that this service had not been visited since the last inspection which took place on 11 February 2009.

As Abbeygate Community Care provides care to people in their own home, we telephoned people to find out their views on the service.

One person we spoke to told us 'My care is fine, I love my carer that comes, I tell them and they do what I want.'
