Date of assessment 15 January to 2 February 2026. Rainham House, part of Move Ahead Care Limited is a supported living service for 3 people with 1 person receiving a regulated activity. We have undertaken a comprehensive inspection which means we have reviewed all 33 quality statements. The previous CQC rating for this service was good. Following this inspection, we have rated the service as good for safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led, leading to a good overall rating.

We expect health and social care providers to guarantee people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices and independence and access to communities that most people take for granted. ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ is a guidance CQC follows to make assessments and judgements about services supporting people which providers must adhere to.

The person’s care plan had been created by the provider and was well written and gave in- depth information about the person’s needs and wishes. Risk assessments detailed how to keep the person safe and what staff must to do to ensure the person maximises their independence skills.

The person’s family told us they felt their relative was safe. The family member told us about the positive impact the provider had made since their relative moved into the service. They told us how the person was more settled, how they had lost weight and how engaging they were with them.

Staff had worked at the service for a long time, they knew the person well and engaged with them respectfully. They told us they felt they had the right training to do their jobs and were happy working for the provider.

The provider had competent managers who understood their roles and responsibilities in leading a team, providing effective services to people who needed care and support.
