Governance, management and sustainability
Leaders had reviewed and improved their medicines governance systems and from April 2025, they had started to use a ‘medicine monitoring alert tool’ in their clinical system. They were working with the developers of the tool to review this throughout June and July 2025. We acknowledged their systems continued to be reviewed and improved, and work continued to embed these processes.
Policies had been updated, and regular audits were now in place to monitor the safety of people’s medicines. Leaders made sure staff followed these arrangements and regular meetings were held with staff to monitor and review progress. Staff were knowledgeable about medicines governance processes, which included escalation processes for clinical and managerial advice and support.
