During a routine inspection

We did not speak directly to people who use the service during this review. People attend for appointments and day case procedures only. A small number of people attending the service on the day of our inspection were asked if they wished to speak with us but they refused. We saw that during the last Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA) interim inspection visit in summer 2012, HFEA inspectors spoke with patients who provided feedback on their experiences. Feedback was very positive with people having provided written feedback to the HFEA which complimented the care that they had received at this service.

We saw comments on an ongoing electronic patient survey where people could comment on the service. We reviewed recent comments which showed high levels of satisfaction with the services provided at Manchester Fertility Services.

The provider was meeting all the standards that we looked at on this inspection.

During a routine inspection

We did not speak directly to people who use the service during this review. People attend the centre for day case procedures only.

Staff told us that they were in the process of completing the 2011 patient survey. We reviewed the report from the provider's 2010 patient survey. This showed high levels of satisfaction with the services provided at Manchester Fertility Services. There were very positive comments about the care provided by the nursing staff.
