Accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care

  • Mr Nizam Bata is responsible for these services.
  • Mr David Goodwin, Ms Marina Lester is the registered manager for these services at this location.
Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

The registered provider must ensure that effective infection control processes are in place. This must include the following:

a. A report of the COVID-19 status of service users and all staff including agency workers. This must include test date, outcome, isolation period and when the isolation period expires. This must include evidence of how this is being shared with staff at all levels.

b. You must undertake a review of the use of Protective Personal Equipment (PPE) to ensure that PPE is being used by all staff in line with government guidance, ‘How to Work Safely in Care Homes’. The review must also include safe disposal of used PPE.

c. You must ensure that all staff, including agency workers and management, have received refresher training in infection prevention and control (since the CCG delivered training on 16 December 2020 to four staff members). This must include training in hand hygiene and use of PPE. Your initial report must include evidence showing when, how and by whom this will be done.

d. You must ensure there are COVID-19 isolation and co-horting strategies in place to reduce risk of further infection spread.

e. You must undertake a review of your staff uniform policy.

f. You must undertake a review of your laundry processes and policy.

g. You must ensure there are sufficient domestic staff on shift every day including weekends in order to maintain effective cleaning in all areas.

h. You must undertake an audit of the building and environment and identify improvements to support effective infection control measures. This should include improvements to the layout of communal areas, renewal of furniture and flooring, a programme of re-decoration, decluttering of communal areas and main office.

The registered provider must not admit any service users to Lester Hall Apartments without the prior written agreement of the Commission. This includes new, respite, emergency admissions and re-admissions.

Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

The Registered Provider must only accommodate a maximum of 33 service users at Lester Hall Apartments.
