Date of Assessment: 25 June – 03 July 2025. The service is a nursing home which provides personal care and nursing care to adults, some of whom were living with dementia or physical disabilities. At the time of our inspection 34 people lived at the service. The provider was previously in breach of legal regulations in relation to staffing and good governance. Some improvements were found at this inspection and the provider was no longer in breach of the regulation relating to safe staffing. However, issues with governance remained and the service remains in breach in this area. We assessed and inspected the service due to the length of time since the last assessment. We carried out a comprehensive assessment and inspection of the service covering all 5 key questions and all quality statements.People were supported by staff who were kind and caring, although the care that was delivered was not always in line with agreed plans. Records indicated that there were some gaps in care provision. Auditing and governance checks had not identified shortfalls in care, so these had not been addressed, and lessons had not been learnt. Activities took place most days within the service, and a series of day trips had been planned. People were able to influence what they wanted to do and places they wanted to visit. The home was clean and benefited from a pleasant outdoor area, people were able to personalise their living spaces. Routine maintenance including fire alarm tests and drills took place to ensure environmental safety.
