Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

1.The Registered Provider must not admit any new service users to the Mitchell House Nursing Home without the prior written agreement of the Care Quality Commission. This includes respite and emergency admissions.
2. The Registered Provider must immediately review and reassess any changes to service users’ needs or risks, including in response to an accident or incident. Service users’ care plans and risk assessment must contain complete, accurate and up to date information regarding service users’ needs and associated risks to ensure staff have guidance to follow.
3. The Registered Provider must ensure all accidents, incidents and safeguarding concerns are reported to the Commission with details of their analysis and any actions taken to reduce future risks to service users.
4. The Registered Provider must ensure robust and effective medicines audits are in place to ensure service users receive their medicines as prescribed and documentation reflects this.
5. The Registered Provider must send the Commission an action plan detailing how they have met conditions 1-6 and the support they have in place to enable to the Registered Manager to action improvements within the home and keep up to date with current best practice guidance, their role and responsibilities. This must be provided weekly to the Commission by 10 am every Friday.

Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

The registered provider must only accommodate a maximum of 45 service users at Mitchell House Nursing Home.

The registered provider must ensure that the regulated activity accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care is managed by an individual who is registered as a manager in respect of that activity at or from all locations.

The registered provider must ensure that the regulated activity treatment of disease, disorder or injury is managed by an individual who is registered as a manager in respect of that activity at or from all locations.
