All Inspections

12 February 2014

During a routine inspection

Currently, five people were supported by eleven staff in tenanted properties owned by the parent organisation.

We looked at two care plans, talked with two people who used the service and with the registered manager and six other staff.

The care plans were comprehensive and staff demonstrated they followed them.

Staff were able to explain what was meant by abuse and knew how to report it.

They told us they had been well trained and supported.

Records showed that people and the professionals and family who were involved, were asked their views and these were acted upon.

6 February 2013

During a routine inspection

We met with three people who used the service. They told us that they were happy and enjoyed living in their homes and saw the people who they shared their home with as friends. They told us that they were involved in making decisions about their care and treatment and staff offered them choices and supported them in what they chose to do.

Medicines were ordered, stored and recorded appropriately. Where appropriate, people were supported to manage their own medicines. Other people had chosen to have more support from staff and this was accommodated.

The provider had an effective recruitment procedure and all appropriate checks were undertaken before staff started work.

People knew how to make a complaint if they wanted to and the provider supported them to do this where appropriate.

20 December 2011

During a routine inspection

People told us that they were treated with respect by staff. They told us they were involved in the decisions made about their care. They said they had been involved in the review of their care plan and had agreed to any changes made. They told us that they had no concerns or worries about the care they received. They said that they were kept fully informed and could approach staff if they were worried or concerned.
