Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

Within 14 days of this condition taking effect, the Registered Provider must implement an effective monthly audit and monitoring system to ensure that:
(a) Service users’ medicines are managed safely and properly, including safe storage of medicines, clear medicine administration instructions, maintenance of complete, accurate and up-to-date medicines administration records, and management of any covert administration in line with service users’ rights under the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
(b) Injuries to service users are thoroughly investigated, appropriately recorded and consistently monitored.
(c) Service users’ hydration needs are effectively monitored and met.
(d) Staff are provided with clear information and guidance on their role in supporting service users to manage their health needs and any associated risks.
(e) Staff are consistently following agreed plans and procedures to keep service users safe, including maintaining the security of high-risk areas and items such as the service’s kitchen and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) products.
(f) Service users are receiving consistent support from staff with repositioning to mitigate the risk of skin damage.
(g) Risks associated with the service’s care environment are effectively assessed and managed, including the risk of falls from windows or on stairs.
(h) Robust fire safety arrangements are in place, including conducting fire drills at appropriate intervals.
(i) A systematic approach is adopted towards determining staffing requirements.
(j) Staff training needs are consistently met, and the effectiveness of staff training is assessed.
(1k) Staff Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks are renewed at the planned intervals.

Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

The Registered Provider must not provide nursing care under accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care at Job's Close Residential Home for the Elderly.

The Registered Provider must only accommodate a maximum of 35 service users at Job's Close Residential Home for the Elderly.
