Our current view of the service

Good

Updated 15 January 2026

Date of Assessment: 25 February to 6 March 2026. The service is a residential home providing support to adults of all ages and people living with dementia. The home is registered for 34 people. At the time of our inspection there were 26 people living at the home.

The home and equipment were clean and well maintained. There was a detailed plan in place for refurbishment and redecoration of the home, this work was on going. Recruitment checks were in place prior to staff starting to work at the home. Staff were suitably trained, supervised and supported to deliver safe and effective care. Medicines were managed and administered safely. A new electronic medicines system had strengthened oversight and accuracy in medicines administration.

Risks to people were well managed, with detailed, person-centred assessments guiding safe care and support. Care planning was detailed, comprehensive and regularly reviewed, ensuring people’s needs, preferences and health conditions were clearly understood and met. Staff worked effectively with external professionals, ensuring continuity of care and timely escalation of concerns.

All staff we spoke with enjoyed working at the home. Staff told us they felt valued and were well supported by the provider and managers. There were strong systems for monitoring quality, learning from incidents and embedding improvements. The provider, managers and staff shared a culture of valuing people who lived at the home as individuals. There was commitment to providing caring, inclusive and responsive, person-centred care.

The provider and managers had robust systems of audit and oversight in place and worked very closely to ensure effective running of the home. The provider and managers showed a genuine commitment to continuous improvement, learning and development.
