During a routine inspection

The people we spoke with during this visit said "I cannot fault the care and help I receive." "The last thing I wanted to do was give up my home and moving here was hard but I have settled well and now know it was the best for me." "The staff are lovely, kind and respectful. The manager is always around and nothing is too much trouble." "I like to get up early and go to bed early which is not a problem. I am happy here."

We found people were suitably supported and that their care plans were in place and up to date for staff to follow.

The medication procedures for ordering, receiving, administering and recording were checked by us and we found that the home carried out these procedures correctly and safely. However, the medication storage room temperature could be improved upon to ensure medication was stored at the recommended temperature.

We looked at the equipment used within the home to assist people with their day to day lives. We found that there was enough equipment that it was serviced and maintained correctly and that faulty equipment was dealt with appropriately.

The home dealt with complaints when they arose. People told us they would talk to the manager if they had any concerns and know they would be dealt with. We had not received any complaint about this home.
