At the inspection on 20 May 2026, we found the practice had made the following improvements to comply with regulations:

Improvements had been made to the oversight and governance of X-ray equipment. In particular, all radiation protection information was available, and all equipment was up-to-date with their maintenance and servicing schedules.

The management of fire safety was now effective. The outstanding recommendations from the fire risk assessment had been completed and the practice had conducted and documented a fire evacuation drill.

Equipment was serviced and validated in line with manufacturers guidance. We were shown evidence of servicing and maintenance records of the air conditioning and implant motor.

Improvements were still required to the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) risk assessments. Risk assessments had not been reviewed and were not up-to-date with the products in use.

At the inspection on 20 May 2026, we found the practice had made the following improvements to comply with the regulations:

Equipment used in the sterilisation process was maintained, serviced and tested as per manufacturers’ instructions.

Up-to-date occupational health information was available for staff to access in the event of a sharp’s injury.

The practices procedures to reduce the risk of Legionella, or other bacteria, developing in water systems had improved. Most of the recommendations within the risk assessment had been addressed.
