All Inspections

4 October 2012

During a routine inspection

We visited the old and the new office. We looked at four people's care records, records about staff and the running of the agency. We spoke with two people, four relatives, three health and social care professionals as some people were unable to tell us their views. We spoke with the manager, five support staff and a visiting worker from another service provider.

Everyone told us that the agency was well run and that staff were well trained. People commented that staff were 'excellent', 'reliable' and 'I get on with them'. Families told us the service was 'outstanding'. Needs were met as people preferred, respecting their ifestyles, interests, beliefs and cultures. People had support to manage their health conditions. People had good outcomes and had re-gained independence, mobility and involvement in the community following acquired brain injuries.

People who used the service, their representatives and professionals took part in care planning and regular reviews. Staff worked closely with health professionals who provided specialist training and advice which staff followed. Staff had professional development for their roles and felt well supported. The service was flexible for people's benefit but staff wanted rotas planned sufficiently in advance.

People felt safe with staff. Robust systems were in place to respond to and learn from any adult safeguarding concerns, incidents or complaints that may arise.
