During a routine inspection

Ashcroft Residential Home had ten residents at the time of our inspection. We spoke with two of them and they made comments such as 'They treat me well', 'My room is nice' and 'They very good to me'. We also spoke to one person's family members who told us that the home was 'Absolutely brilliant' and that they had already recommended the home to others.

We found that people whos used the service were treated respectfully, their care was planned and delivered in a way that met people's individual needs.

During a routine inspection

We did not discuss all outcome areas with people using the service due to their degree of communication difficulties. However, we were told that 'they look after us'. We were able to observe staff providing care in a kind and respectful manner. Staff told us that training is available and of a good quality.
