Our view of the service

SpaMedica Southampton is located in Stoneham Place business park, Eastleigh. The service provides NHS and Private cataract surgery, glaucoma treatment, and Yttrium Aluminium Garnet (YAG) laser capsulotomy services for NHS and private patients aged 18 years and over. Ophthalmology services are delivered through a combination of outpatient clinics and day-case surgical procedures. In addition to this, the service also provided out-of-hour treatment for patients for both Southampton and other SpaMedica locations. The service operated in a large ground floor space that comprised of outpatient areas for clinical review, diagnostic testing, and a surgical area which contained an operating theatre.

SpaMedica Southampton is a registered location of the SpaMedica Group, which serves as the registered provider. Staff at the service follow the group’s provider level policies and processes. Staff are contracted to work across multiple sites, maintaining safe staffing levels and a consistent standard of care throughout the provider network.
