We carried out this announced on-site inspection on 27 May 2025.
We found the practice had met regulations.
Infection control procedures in place were effective.
The practice had effective systems to identify and manage risks.
Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.
Patients’ care and treatment was provided in line with current guidance.
Patients were treated with dignity and respect and at the time of our inspection, could access care, support and treatment when required.
SpaDental Tewkesbury is part of SpaDental, a dental group provider. The practice is in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, and provides private dental care and treatment for adults and children.
Chargeable car parking spaces, including dedicated parking for disabled people, are available near the practice.
The practice had 4 treatment rooms, but only 2 were currently in use, as the others were awaiting equipment refurbishment before being reopened.
At the time of our inspection, there was a total of 13 staff working at the practice. The team was made up of 2 dentists, 5 dental nurses (including 2 trainees), 1 dental therapist, 3 receptionists, 1 in-house cleaner and the practice manager. We gathered feedback from staff and spoke to a range of staff during our inspection, including 1 dentist, 1 therapist, 3 dental nurses, the practice manager and the group compliance manager.
The service provides cosmetic treatments, some of which are not in scope of CQC regulation and are not covered in our inspection.
