We carry out surveys to track what providers and stakeholders think about the way we regulate.
The stakeholder and provider surveys ask people about their experiences of regulation. We use the results to help measure the progress of our strategy.
Provider surveys
Between 2018 and 2020 the provider survey asked a representative sample of providers about their experiences of CQC regulation.
From 2021 the provider survey asks all providers about their experiences of how well we are delivering our strategy. We use the results to help measure the progress of our strategy and to inform our annual report and accounts.
2023 provider survey results
The 2023 survey tracked providers' knowledge, understanding and opinion of CQC and how well we are delivering our strategy.
2022 provider survey results

Correction to the 2022 provider survey results
We have found an error in our calculations for the 2022 annual provider survey.
The error meant that the percentages for 23 questions were incorrect, as well as the figures showing change from the 2021/22 survey. Also, an error in the way we calculate the response rate affected the percentages and changes for 3 questions. The impact on the final data and summary narratives was small, but we apologise for any inconvenience caused.
This file contains the corrected data.

The 2021 survey tracked providers' knowledge, understanding and opinion of CQC and how well we are delivering our strategy.
