Our view of the service
On 6 and 7 March 2025, the Care Quality Commission carried out an on-site inspection of the Campbell Centre, Hospital Campus, Standing Way, Eaglestone, Milton Keynes, MK6 5NG. This was a responsive visit to follow up on a warning notice, issued in November 2024. We served the warning notice in response to our findings that the use of force staff applied during the physical restraints of patients were not always justifiable, appropriate, reasonable and proportionate.
During this inspection we found the trust had introduced processes to identify and end this practice. The service was deemed to be compliant with the warning notice. This means there was not a continued breach of regulation in relation to the warning notice and the warning notice no longer applies.
As part of our inspection we spoke with patients and spent some time in the ward communal areas. Patients told us that they felt safe on the ward and some patients told us that there were enough staff on the ward. The advocate received positive feedback overall from patients about the ward staff. They were confident that any patient concerns would be listened to and acted upon by staff.
