Our view of the service
The assessment was carried out from 8 to 9 July 2025.
We carried out this assessment in line with our routine assessment priorities. We assessed 32 quality statements for the 5 key questions: safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.
The service was previously rated outstanding. At this assessment we rated the service as good.
The service had a common goal of providing patient focused care. Staff felt free to raise concerns without fear of consequences. Staff received training and appraisals to support them perform their job roles. People using the service had positive experiences. Systems and processes identified risks to people. However, the service did not have full oversight over subcontracted patient transport services. Infection prevention control processes were not always effective. Access to the service was limited for some people. Completion rates for staff training on how to support people with a learning disability and autistic people needed improving.
