Our view of the service

Hull Royal Infirmary is run by Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust as part of NHS Humber Health Partnership.

It has an emergency department, critical care, maternity services, children’s services and a range of inpatient and outpatient specialties.

It forms one of the trust’s two main hospital sites, with services delivered across multiple wards, departments and clinical areas. The site supports regional specialist pathways, works closely with community and primary care partners. The trust operates shared leadership and governance arrangements across the Humber Health Partnership, with standardised processes and oversight structures in place across both hospital sites.

Our overall location rating for Hull Royal Infirmary remains as requires improvement.
