Our view of the service

Cheltenham General Hospital is operated by Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Trust. The medical care service at Cheltenham General Hospital provides medical services, which includes general medicine, urgent and emergency care, specialist oncology, ophthalmology, hyper stroke unit, gastrointestinal and liver services. The hospital provides both inpatient and outpatient services.

We undertook this assessment on 16 and 18 July 2024 in response to some concerns raised with CQC about medical care service at Cheltenham General Hospital.

The overall rating of the medical care service at Cheltenham General Hospital remains as good.
